The Miami Beach Cultural Affairs Program, with guidance from the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council, develops, coordinates and promotes the performing and visual arts groups in Miami Beach. To date, Cultural Affairs has awarded over $5 million in grants to approximately 88 diverse not-for-profit arts groups, which contribute so richly to the artistic landscape of the City, proving that the Council plays an integral leadership role in supporting, promoting and advocating the unique and extensive scope of cultural offerings in Miami Beach.

Over 100 works of art created by City of Miami Beach employees and their families are currently on display in the First Annual Exhibit of the National Arts Program in the City Hall Fourth Floor Gallery. The exhibit is free and open to the public from Monday through Friday.

Egoyan stars as a calendar photographer whose wife has left him, dumping him while he was on assignment in Armenia (and choosing their tour guide!). The next year of his life is spent on dates arranged by a dating service and carefully watching his old video footage for signs of his wife's falling for the tour guide.

Full Grown Men is the funny, sad, story of Alba Cutrera (Matt McGrath), a hopelessly adolescent man whose wife kicks him out with an ultimatum: "Don't come back till you grow up".  Rather than do some much needed soul searching, Alby goes looking for his childhood best friend.  The film will be followed by Q&A with Writer/Director David Munro.

An exhibition with resident artists Elsa Carolina Munoz and Melissa Ruffino that highlights the importance of revival and abstract art. Whereas Munoz documents life through photography, Ruffino paints reflections of her dreams.  The juxtaposition of "the here and now" and an imagined reality create ambiguities in the pieces that are literally and conceptually familiar.

A Bittersweet Decade: The New Deal in America

Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the New Deal, A Bittersweet Decade considers the impact of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs on American culture. This exhibition explores how the government's patronage of art, design, and architecture were integral parts of the larger project of the New Deal, which aimed to spur recovery from the Great Depression and change American society.
